Meet Cirila Cothran. Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Waldorf, MD, Cirila graduated from Salisbury State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She relocated to the Raleigh-Durham area in 1997 and began working in the pharmaceutical industry. While living in The Triangle, she visited the Crystal Coast often and eventually purchased a second home in Morehead City. She loved this area so much; she decided to move here full time in 2005. She always had an interest in real estate and enjoys working with people, so becoming a Broker was a natural choice.
After moving, she was recruited by a local real estate franchise. In less than a year, she was challenged with expanding their business by opening a new location. She spent 6 years actively listing, selling, managing and growing that location. During this time she was consistently the top listing and top producing Broker, winning 4 International Production Awards. With that experience, she ventured out and opened her own firm in 2011. She continues to list & sell full time with a focus on first time buyers, military relocations and resort/second home sales.
Cirila is an active volunteer with the Jacksonville Board (JBOR); as well as; Carteret County (CCAR), North Carolina (NCR) and National Associations of REALTORS® (NAR) with a passion for consumer advocacy and education. She was the 2020 JBOR REALTOR® of the Year, a Past President of the Carteret County Association of REALTORS®, 2014 CCAR REALTOR® of the Year, Past President of the Swansboro Area Chamber of Commerce, 2013 Businesswoman of the Year and 2014 Graduate of the NC REALTORS® Leadership Academy. She is an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), graduate of the REALTOR® Institute (GRI), a Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS), certified At Home With Diversity (AHWD) and has a Florida Brokers License as well.
In her free time, you can usually find her running, boating, fishing…or enjoying some other kind of outdoor activity along the beautiful Crystal Coast.
